Alireza Ghasemi is an Iranian filmmaker born in Tehran. He is a graduate of the Art University of Tehran and an alumnus of Berlinale Talents 2022. He is known for directing the award-winning short films Better than Neil Armstrong, Extra Sauce, and Solar Eclipse. His short film Lunch Time received a nomination for the Short Film Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017. Alireza’s debut feature, In the Land of Brothers, won the Best Directing award at the Sundance Film Festival 2024.
